Joy Through Action

Find Local Food
Support Soil & Sustenance

We Are Farm To Crag.

We’re a climber-driven non-profit responding to climate change by encouraging food choices that create healthier athletes, thriving communities, and climate resilient soils.

At Farm To Crag, we believe eating food grown by sustainable farming practices is an easy and powerful way for climbers to take action on climate change. We know that healthy soil equals nutrient dense food and equals stronger climbers and athletes.

As outdoor stewards, we have the unique opportunity to vote with our forks and positively impact the health of the places where we recreate—our soils, our crags, and our earth. At Farm to Crag, we live by these principles.

About Us
Support Us

Farm To Crag makes it easy for you to find local, seasonal, and sustainable food wherever you are.

Whether traveling to your local crag, a far-flung climbing area, or heading to the mountains for a run, seeking out locally-grown food provides better fuel for your adventure and helps sustain the passionate growers and communities that support our favorite pastime. It’s a joyful way to make a positive environmental change.

We help you find food and community through our interactive Farm To Crag map, by hosting educational climbing events at local organic farms, by taking climbers farming—and farmers climbing—through climbing gym dinners that celebrate local food, awe-invoking stories, and farm policy tutorials.

Soil & Sustenance fund.

The Soil & Sustenance fund provides access to CSAs (consumer supported agriculture programs) to low-income households. This fund embodies everything we stand for: feeding communities with healthy food, supporting farmers, and healing ecosystems together.

With this we program to address major barriers to equity & affordability for families while uplifting regenerative farmers financially. Thus far in 2025, we’ve provided 100 low-income households with $150 toward seasonal CSA shares. As our next steps, and with your support, we plan to double the number of households supported and also provide $150 subsidies directly to farmers per CSA share.
